Horror moment burglars shoot father in the head and open fire on his fleeing wife and kid just to steal a TV

THIS horrific video shows an armed thug shooting at a helpless mother and child after breaking into their home and then blasting her brave husband in the head.
The husband had gone outside to investigate a noise allowing the gunman to slip inside and as a terrified mother ushers her child to safety he opens fire on them both.

He is seen firing at least three shots at the young mum and her daughter as they flee out the back door and then he tries to wrench the plasma screen TV off the wall.
The husband alerted by the gunshots runs back into the house and when the thug spots him he opens fire hitting him in the head and the hand before attacking him.
When he has the husband in a position of surrender he unlocks the front door and lets in his accomplice who is carrying a hammer who hits the husband with it.
The husband is bleeding from a wound to the head and the hand but one still aims his gun at him and threatens to shoot him dead.

They then bundle him into a back room unaware his wife has fled with her daughter although the wife broke her leg jumping over a wall into a neighbours garden.
The two thugs, who are only after the flat screen TV, cannot work out how to lift it out of its bracket and pull it back and forth until finally tearing it off the wall.
The TV was almost certainly broken making the ruthless 9pm raid totally pointless.

Police and ambulance services raced to the scene and rushed the unnamed husband to hospital where he underwent emergency head surgery but he is said to be stable.
His wife was treated for a broken leg and their daughter for severe shock and trauma.
The armed robbery happened in the Florida area of Johannesburg, South Africa, on Sunday night.

South African Police Service spokesman Kay Makhubele said: “The family heard something at the gate and the man went out to investigate what the noise was.
“The man got to the gate and was overpowered by thugs. The man of the house was shot and another family member injured her leg when she jumped over a wall.
“If you hear suspicious noises never investigate and always call the police” he said.
Mr Makhubele confirmed the husband was shot in the head and that he and his wife are in hospital and that the husband is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.

Most comments state that they cannot believe the amount of violence used by the robbers just to steal a TV.
The video then switches to CCTV in the garage that shows the two armed robbers escaping via the garage and getting into a pale blue Toyota Corolla to make their escape.
