Surveillance video goes viral of woman getting purse snatched in Nuevo Laredo

Surveillance video capturing the moment when a man snatched a purse from a woman in broad daylight in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, has gone viral.

The 27-second video, showcased by El Mañana and the blog Frontera Al Rojo Vivo, showed a woman walking about two blocks away from the construction site of the soon-to-be U.S. Consulate offices in Colonia Madero, a subdivision in the Sister City.

Then, a vehicle stopped in front of her. A man exited the car and went for her purse. She tried fighting back using an umbrella she was carrying.

While the suspect and the woman struggled for the purse, the driver exited the car. Moments later, the suspect in red managed to take the purse.

Both got into the vehicle and sped off. No arrest has been reported.
