SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police have released a surveillance video in hopes of finding a suspect who viciously attacked a woman for no reason.

It happened Saturday at approximately 7:45 p.m. when the woman was walking in Lafayette Park and a suspect approached her.

She did not speak with the suspect, but he stopped her on the 2000 block of Washington Street. He then punched her several times in the face.

The suspect left the scene after attacking her.

He broke the woman’s nose in several places. The woman will need surgery.

Police say the suspect said to the woman something along the lines of “say you’re sorry.”

The suspect is described as a white man between 40 to 50 years old. He has brown hair and an average build.

He was last seen wearing a dark green zip-up sweater and jeans.

If you know anything about his whereabouts, contact Officer Carlos Manfredi at (415)837-7195.
