WINDSOR TERRACE, Brooklyn – The NYPD released graphic video of a man accused of trying to rape a woman on a Brooklyn sidewalk early Sunday.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was walking on 16th Street in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood around 3:50 a.m. when a man snuck up behind her, grabbed her and then lifted her dress and pulling at her underwear, according to police.

He then knocked her to the ground and struck her multiple times while attempting to sexually assault her. He proceeds to kick her until he becomes frustrated and flees on 16th Street, police said. The victim refused medical attention, police said.

The entire attack was caught on a surveillance footage nearby.

Police describe the suspect as having curly black hair, approximately 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and slacks.
