ALAMOGORDO – Crystal Silva, the fourth and only female suspect in the attempted Alamogordo home invasion on Thursday, Feb. 2, was arrested by New Mexico State Police Officers on Tuesday evening.

On the evening of Feb. 2, Alamogordo Police Officers responded to an attempted home invasion on the 2000 block of Stanford Avenue. Once there, officers learned a woman and three men had approached the residence and then attempted to force entry into the home. All three men were brandishing weapons when they approached the home.

In an earlier interview with the Daily News, Deputy Chief Roger Schoolcraft said the female suspect had asked the homeowner for assistance and if she could use his phone. Schoolcraft said the homeowner saw the three men approaching the home and slammed the door closed before locking it. As seen on the security footage released by APD, the three men breached one door before fleeing on foot. While police originally believed there were four suspects, on Tuesday police said a fifth suspect was allegedly driving the getaway car.

On Monday,  APD arrested Dominic Roberts, 39, Ross Sanders, 50, and Dustin Williams, 28 in connection with the attempted home invasion. Also on Monday, a New Mexico State Police SWAT team sent a robot into a Ruidoso house where they believed Jason Enjady, the fifth suspect, was hiding. The Ruidoso News reported that law enforcement tossed in stun grenades before going inside the home but Enjady was gone and had probably fled hours earlier.

Three suspects arrested for attempted home invasion

On Tuesday evening, New Mexico State Police Officers, with the assistance of the Ruidoso Police Department, located Silva, 27, at a Ruidoso residence. According to an APD press release, Silva was taken into custody without any incident. Silva is being charged with attempted aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit attempted aggravated burglary. Silva was incarcerated into the Lincoln County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash only bond.

An active warrant is still outstanding for Enjady and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact APD at 434-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 434-7812.

"We've been working with investigative sources on the case and the community's been helping as well," Schoolcraft said. "We want the public to remain diligent and we ask if they see Mr. Enjady to not approach him, just contact law enforcement and they'll take care of the issue."
