VALDOSTA, Ga (WCTV) -- Police in Valdosta are hoping that surveillance video will help lead them to a suspect in a clothing store robbery last month.

The Valdosta Police Department says officers responded to the Royal Boutique at 2023 Marion Street around 7 p.m. on December 27th for an armed robbery call.

In the surveillance video, the suspect points what appears to be a jammed firearm at the store employee, and struggles with it before pulling back the slide and reloading the firearm.

The suspect then grabs the cash from the register before fleeing the store.

His bandanna also falls off of his face for nearly ten seconds during the encounter.

The suspect is described as an African American male, who at the time of the robbery was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, a Brooklyn Nets cap, sunglasses, and a white bandanna over his face. Authorities believe he's approximately between 6'1" and 6'3" tall.

Police released the surveillance video Thursday in hopes of finding the suspect. They're asking anyone who may recognized the suspect or with any other information on the case to contact VPD.
