The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is searching for an armed robbery suspect in relation to a Jan. 26 incident at a Mims gas station.

They say the video surveillance from the Sugar Creek gas station off Highway 46 shows the suspect approaching the store's clerk at 11 p.m., brandishing a firearm and demanding money.

Police also say the suspect handed the clerk a bag to place the money in, after which the clerk and the suspect engaged in a struggle for the weapon. The clerk was able to successfully pry the black and brown revolver-style air-soft gun away from the suspect, after which the suspect ran out of the front of the store and got into the passenger side of an older model maroon large  four-door car with a white top.

The white male suspect is described as being between 19-22 years of age, standing 5'8" tall with a medium build. He was also last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket with fur-lined hood and purple latex gloves. Additionally, the suspect wore a white bandanna that covered his nose and mouth and he left a Chicago White Sox baseball hat at the scene after wearing it in, police add.
